Privacy Policy

Vixo is a wallpaper and home screen widget app developed by Usman ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the ad-supported version of Vixo, including advertising provided through Google AdMob.

Information we handle

• Searches and content requests. Vixo sends your search terms and requests for wallpaper listings, images, and previews to its backend and content hosting services. These services receive your IP address and technical request information needed to respond, and may record request times, requested resources, and error information in service logs.
• Information stored on your device. App preferences, onboarding status, widget selections, custom quotes, and a randomly generated support ID are stored locally. Images may be cached or downloaded to display wallpapers and widgets. Vixo does not automatically upload your custom widget quotes or support ID.
• Support messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message, attachments, or support ID you choose to provide. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.

You do not need to create an account to use Vixo. The app does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, or precise location. It does not upload your personal photo library.

How information is used

We use this information to deliver and search the wallpaper catalog, display and apply wallpapers, remember your preferences, provide widgets, respond to support requests, and maintain the reliability and security of the service.

Advertising with Google AdMob

Vixo uses Google AdMob to display advertisements that support the app. Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares information with Google to deliver and measure ads, analyze performance, and prevent fraud. Depending on the SDK configuration, your device settings, and applicable consent choices, this includes:

• Your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location.
• Device and account identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, identifiers associated with signed-in accounts.
• App and advertising interactions, such as launches, taps, and video views.
• Diagnostic information about app and advertising performance, such as launch time, hangs, and energy usage.

Ads may be personalized where permitted and based on applicable consent and settings. Otherwise, non-personalized or limited ads may be served where allowed. Non-personalized ads can still involve data processing for delivery, measurement, frequency limits, and fraud prevention; they do not mean that no data is collected.

Google may use advertising identifiers, cookies, or similar device storage technologies to provide these services. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Advertising consent and privacy choices

Where required by law or Google's policies, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we request the necessary consent before the relevant advertising data processing or device storage takes place. You can review or withdraw consent through the advertising privacy options made available in the app where applicable.

You can also manage your advertising ID through your Android device's privacy or ads settings, where available, and manage applicable Google ad personalization preferences through My Ad Center. These controls have different scopes; changing a device or Google account setting does not replace withdrawing consent through the app.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object to processing or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Use the available advertising privacy options or contact us to exercise applicable rights. Disabling ad personalization does not necessarily remove ads or stop essential service and security requests.

Permissions and local files

Vixo uses internet access to load content and ads and Android wallpaper permissions to apply a wallpaper when you ask. Depending on your Android version and the feature used, storage or media access may be needed to save wallpaper files. You can manage available permissions in your device settings; denying a permission may limit the related feature.

Widget settings and downloaded images are used on your device. Content you intentionally save outside the app may remain after you uninstall Vixo.

Service providers and external links

Vixo uses Supabase for its catalog, search, and content storage. Supabase and any hosting service serving a selected image or preview process the requests needed to deliver that content. You can read the Supabase Privacy Policy for information about its practices.

If you open a social media link, Google Play page, email app, or another external service, that service handles information under its own privacy policy. If you choose to share content through another app, the receiving app processes the content you send.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, advertising data is disclosed to Google as described above, and personalized advertising disclosures may be considered a "sale", "sharing", or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. Your applicable choices are described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Local preferences and cached content remain until they are replaced, cleared by the app or operating system, or removed when you clear app storage or uninstall the app. You can delete separately saved wallpapers through your device's file or photo manager. Device backup settings may affect whether app data is restored later.

Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable legal obligations. Backend request logs are retained according to the hosting provider's applicable configuration and retention rules. Google retains advertising data according to its own policies and the applicable data type and settings; see Google's data retention policy. Clearing Vixo's local storage does not automatically delete information already held by Google. Service providers may process information outside your country.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided to us, email ihfydjbxkhc@gmail.com. We will handle requests as required by applicable law. We may need information to verify and locate your request; we cannot always link service logs to a particular person because Vixo does not require an account.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Local app settings use your device's app storage protections; this policy does not promise that all local preferences are encrypted.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children. Advertising to children or users below the applicable age of consent must be restricted in accordance with applicable law and Google policies, including restrictions on personalized ads. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The updated policy will show a new revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.

This website

This developer website does not include advertising scripts, analytics scripts, or contact forms. Its hosting provider may process your IP address and technical request logs to deliver and secure the website. Email links open your chosen email application.
